In this raw and redemptive episode, I share how I went from being the walking dead—trapped in fear, reactive abuse, and cycles of trauma—to fully alive in Christ. “To live is Christ, to die is gain” took on a whole new meaning when I finally died to self and let Jesus fight the battle for me.
You’ll also learn the SMART method, a Spirit-led and trauma-informed way to navigate high-conflict situations, toxic relationships, and emotional overwhelm:
- Separate – Step back. Create space between your reaction and your response. Breathe, pray, and calm your nervous system.
- Monitor – Observe what’s happening—your feelings, the other person’s behavior, and any recurring patterns.
- Assess – Ask yourself: What’s mine to carry, and what’s not? What is God revealing? What truth counters the lie I’m hearing?
- Replace – Speak life where lies once lived. Replace fear with peace, anger with patience, and confusion with God’s wisdom.
- Trust – Release control. Trust God to handle what you can’t. Boundaries and obedience are not rebellion—they’re protection.
This method helped me stop reacting from trauma and start responding with truth, shifting from chaos to clarity, and from survival to spiritual authority.
